Introduction

FitGenius ("we", "our", "us") provides an AI-powered size recommendation widget for Shopify stores. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our application.

Information We Collect

From Merchants

• Shopify store domain and access credentials (provided via Shopify OAuth)
• Product catalog data (titles, types, vendors) synced from your Shopify store
• Size chart data you create within the app

From Storefront Customers

• Self-reported body measurements (height, build, fit preference)
• Optional reference brand and size information
• Optional uploaded photos for size analysis (processed in real-time, not stored)

How We Use Information

• To generate personalized size recommendations
• To display usage analytics to merchants
• To improve our AI recommendation accuracy

Photo Processing

When a customer uploads a photo for size analysis, the image is sent to our AI service for real-time analysis only. Photos are not stored on our servers or in our database. The image is processed, sizing data is extracted, and the image is immediately discarded.

Data Storage and Security

Recommendation data (height, build, fit preference, recommended size) is stored in our secure PostgreSQL database to provide analytics to merchants. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.

Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes recommendation requests and image analysis
• Shopify — provides merchant authentication and product data
• Neon (PostgreSQL) — database hosting
• Vercel — application hosting

Data Retention and Deletion

When a merchant uninstalls FitGenius, we delete all session data. Merchant shop data, products, size charts, and recommendation history are deleted within 48 hours of uninstallation. Customers can request deletion of their recommendation data by contacting us.

GDPR and CCPA Compliance
